The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) The World Diabetes Congress (WDC), formerly triennial, will now be held every two years. WDC combines top-level science with programme sessions aimed at sharing best practice in diabetes policy and care, and helping the global diabetes community to drive change that will benefit people living with diabetes and prevent diabetes in those at risk. The 20th World Diabetes Congress will be organized in partnership with the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) and Diabète Québec, the Quebec Diabetes Association. The chosen setting for this event is the cosmopolitan city of Montréal, which boasts a unique combination of European flair and North American savoir-faire. Conversations on the city’s streets are threaded with French, English and dozens of other languages. The International Diabetes Federation’s World Diabetes Congress affords the ideal opportunity for diabetes stakeholders to discover for themselves why the world’s second largest French-speaking city enjoys such a reputation for culture, nightlife and charm.
